This website has been developed by friends and family to help raise funds to help support Baby Ava, George and Ann Marie DelRicco during their tragic struggle to maintain hope and recover from a devistating car accident in Ocean City, MD on December 16th, 2011.
As most of you are aware, Ava is still in the hospital trying to recover from injuries sustained recently when she was struck by a truck while her Mother and she were stopped at an intersection. Below is an image of the remnants of their vehicle.
George DelRicco, her Father, has not asked for anything except for everyone to pray for Ann Marie, and especially for Ava as her recovery is going to be difficult (Since Ava is a DelRicco, there is no doubt that she will fight to recover with every ounce of strength she has).
Despite the fact that George is not asking for anything from anyone, the family is looking at a very tough road ahead. George will not be able to work as he has to relocate to Baltimore to be close to Ava as she recovers. We have set up a fund where friends of the DelRicco’s can donate a little something to help ease their burden through this difficult time. Obviously there is no obligation for anyone, but since a lot of people were asking what they could do, this is something that could absolutely help them out.
Donations can be made through PayPal using the address: DelriccoBenefitFund@gmail.com or HelpBabyAva@gmail.com
Donations are also being accepted by any PNC Bank (SUPPORTING BABY AVA ACCOUNT) or George DelRicco c/o Ron Delricco at 8108 Croom Station Road, Upper Marlboro, Md 20772.
Sincerely & with gratitude,
Friends of George & Ann Marie

God’s blessings to the DelRicco family…especially His mercy and grace upon Ava. What a precious earth angel she is…and a testament to the power of prayer, the power of love…and God’s power. When I read Ava’s “story”, looked at the photos of the mangled car and of her tiny body hooked up to all those tubes and other medical paraphernalia…it sure did put into perspective what “suffering” is – and hope. I pray for God’s continued favor upon Ava and her family…and for a speedy and full recovery!
Pray everyday for this sweet baby girl “Ava”. Please know you all are in my prayers. May God bless you richly. Big hugs to all of you.
I have been following Ava’s story and progress. I have two very small children and my heart goes out to you. I will continue to keep Ava and her family in my prayers.
All my love and Prayers are with you and your family Baby Ava. God is blessing you and looking out for you! I will help in any way I can!

I live in Australia and have just heard about this horrific accident from a dear American friend who met Sharon and Buddy – good friends of the Del Ricco family – while on vacation recently. It is heartbreaking to see this tiny innocent girl and her mother so tragically injured. God certainly does have a plan and I will share this website with my Australian friends and relations to expand the prayer network as far as possible. Our united prayers will be heard – our faith must not waver. God bless you little Ava and make you laugh and play again.
Baby Ava, I don’t know you personally, but you are in my prayers. There was a group at my church (that I’m in!!) that sent you a blanket. In fact, that blanket is in one of those photos of you in the hospital. I hope you liked it! I feel so bad for what happened, and you are in my prayers.

It appears she is coming along well. I will continue to pray for her strength and improved health. Take care and keep the faith. God is so good.
Baby Ava, good luck tomorrow with your surgery. Although we do not know you mom and dad my boyfriend and I are following your progress daily. I can only hope and pray that justice will come through for you and your family and the man that caused all of this will be sentencde to life in prision. Yoy are in our thoughts and prayers everyday.
When I first heard of this crash in O.C., I was overwhelmed with sadness. The irresponsible choice of a grown man could cause such heartache for a family and put a small, innocent child up for a fight for her life. I want the family to know, as a mother, I could only imagine the pain, sadness and helplessness you feel. Please stay positive and keep in faith. God is preparing a miracle for Ava. I will continue to be in prayer and am adding Baby Ava to the prayer list at church on Sunday. I’ve made a donation and challenge all that read this comment to make one as well. In these hard economic times, this is the time to give all that you can. God Bless this family.

I saw your video on Facebook and shared it with my friends! Every prayer counts, on December 15, 2010 my father had a massive stroke and he had a bone flap removed as well…the doctors said that he wouldn’t make it and then he did, they also said he wouldn’t come off the ventilator and then he did…a year later and he is still with us. Do not be discouraged by what the doctors may say because it seems as though your sweet angel has a lot of fight left in her! God Bless all of you!!

Prayer works and I will be praying for your baby Ava, and your whole family. God answers prayers from all of us, and in force we are stronger. He will bring justice to Kaczynski and to your family.
My thoughts and prayers are with the DelRicco family and friends. George, Ann Marie & Sage, I don’t know you personally, but I don’t need to to pray for you. I pray that you get to hold precious Ava and see her sweet little smile very soon. Put all your faith and resources into Ava’s recovery. If not the judicial system, God will see justice is served.
thoughts and prayers to this sweet lil angel and her family.I can say i do know what your going through because i just went through it in 2008 when my 17 yo son was in a bad car accident,he passed twice at the scene and i took recuers nearly 2 hours to get him out of the car he was flown to shock trauma and his brain stem was almost completely herniated doctors wasn’t going to try to say him then one doctor came forward and took the risk after 5 hours of surgery to release pressure from his brain after removing half his skull their was little hope that he would survive or he would have permanate brain damage.after 1 month in icu critical care and 1 month in rehab my son was released.today other then minor speech problems and little memory loss my son is a 21 year old with a 3 month old son.so have faith in god he is good and has a plan for baby Ava.
Prayers are being sent for your whole family. May God place his healing hand on your precious daughter and I pray your family feels Gods arms wrapped around you during this horrible time.

My continued prayers for Ava’s recovery–God graces us with His lovely angels and will watch over her. As a mother of 4 and Mimi to 4, I can’t even fathom what her loving family is going through. What a nice thing for Justin to offer to the family!! Hopefully they accept the offer and it will be done locally in southern Maryland, where I’m from. I’m willing to make a handcrafted quilt to donate to the benefit.
Praying for your family!! Miracles do happen!
My family and I live on 28th St. and my husband and I came upon the accident scene shortly afterward. It is truly a miracle that either of you survived. Our 3 year old grand-daughter was also in JHU Pediatric ICU in August after we found her unresponsive one morning. She was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes and spent 3 days in a coma there after being flown from Atlantic General. She is doing fine now and we all are praying for the same outcome for Ava. God has a plan for her!
Your precious daughter is in my thoughts and prayers. I cannot imagine what you are going through right now, most definitely every parent’s nightmare. I have faith that God will guide her through. He is holding her in his hands and making sure that no matter what, she is okay because she is not alone. I also pray for your strength and comfort in this difficult time. Words cannot express how sorry I am. God bless your entire family.
I just shared the fundraiser and her story with my facebook friends, i really pray for her and i am willing to donate. God has a plan for baby Ava, and her mother. I believe he loves them very much, and I have faith in my heart that he is going to help make them both through to full recovery. I asked my pastor to pray for her, and to let others know of the story and to ask for their prayers as well. I love baby Ava and her mommy and I have never even met them. <3
Praying and wishing for a speedy recovery for both Ava and Anne Marie! May God bless all of you who are affected by this horrible tragedy.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you Ava. You are a fighter and you will overcome.
We are praying for complete healing, in Jesus’ name, for baby Ava!!!

Praying for this precious baby and her family. My parents live in Ocean City and while there a few weeks ago, my cousin read in the paper that the man that hit Ava was arrested again and had drugs in his possession. I did not read the article myself so I am not sure of the exact details or if he was reading correctly but this is horrific that peopl are allowed to injure our loved ones in this manner with no consequences. Hang tough little Ava the whole state is thinking of you.
My prayers are with you and your family. DM c/o ’97
